Selecting chairs for kids is hard enough, As you can see there are many things to consider, each kid is different, they all have different opinions about everything, they all like different activities and prefer different colors. japan’s design association has established a collaboration with processor of industrial waste nakadai teaming up with architects and designers to take a creative approach to recycling. at the nakadai factory in gunma, japan,   the pieces created are Block Chair through experimentation and exploration into the realization of an actual commercial product will be sold at the nakadai stand during tokyo designers week 2011 as well as online.

The Ravioli Chair

The Ravioli Chair is the brainchild of architect Greg Lynn and it started life as a three dimensional square in a computer program, then slowly took the shape you see above.

I’m assuming that the chair got it’s name because someone, somewhere thought it resembled ravioli. It kind of looks like some sort of jacked up tooth to me, but apparently teeth don’t sell chairs. Delicious meat or cheese stuffed pastas do.
